I'm an İstanbul-based director. For over twelve years I've been making commercials, music videos and brand films. I look for how an idea will live on set, the rhythm it will flow in, and what it will leave in the viewer. For me, directing is the work of finding the right moment.

I'm an İstanbul-based commercial and film director. Across more than twelve years I've directed hundreds of commercials, music videos, brand and promo films, and pieces of digital content.
I approach each piece from its own need. In advertising I follow the emotion the brand wants to build, in a music video the rhythm of the track, in a film the character and atmosphere. Sometimes a strong camera move is the answer; sometimes it's a few seconds where the actor stays silent.
Advertising, cinema and music may look like separate places, but for me the shared question is the same: finding the right moment where the idea will live in the film. Good images matter, but they aren't enough on their own; the image has to carry a thought, leave a feeling, and keep living in the mind after the work ends.

The first question isn't "how do we shoot it?"
First I try to understand what the idea wants to say, which emotion the brand wants to own, and what the viewer should feel.
Then comes the world of the film: cast, location, light, camera and rhythm. Understanding an idea, seeing its weak and strong sides, growing it through treatment and bringing it to life powerfully on set, that's the core of the work. For me, directing is not about getting ahead of the idea; it's about finding its truest form in the film.
